The idyllic winegrowing village of Andriano is located at 285 m above sea level on the Alto Adige Wine Route to the west of the River Adige, which flows south from the high mountains of the Alps in the north. Top quality vineyards, orchards and forests nestle against mountain slopes. Natural ponds and babbling brooks add extra charm to the impressive landscape, in which the Alpine and Mediterranean vegetation enter into an appealing symbiosis. Across the river lies Cantina Terlano, with which we entered into an alliance in 2008. Like Andriano, Terlano is located in the production area of the DOC sub-denomination Alto Adige Terlano classico. On that side of the valley, the soils, with their red quartz porphyry rock, are of volcanic origin. That explains the fundamental difference in the wines.
